Hot Tub Decking

The Titanic Spa is a luxury spa located in the village of Linthwaite in Huddersfield, Yorkshire, England. It is housed in a renovated Edwardian textile mill and offers a range of treatments and facilities such as a swimming pool, hot tubs, sauna, and steam room. The spa takes its name from the Titanic, as the owners were inspired by the ship’s sense of luxury and grandeur. The spa is a popular destination for those seeking relaxation and pampering in a unique setting.

The award-winning destination spa can now offer guests a new outdoor hot tub with decking that combines style and safety.

The Titanic Spa recently underwent a major extension to ensure it maintains its reputation as one of the country’s leading spa venues. The renovations saw the introduction of a an outdoor sunken hot tub, boasting innovative decking with built-in drainage, among the many new spa features, which also included an outdoor spa garden and bar area.

Gripsure Aquadeck™ was an ideal choice as it provides a way of controlling water run-off and, thanks to its non-slip design, remains safe in wet conditions. Its soft surface makes it ideal for barefoot use too!

  • Being a spa, and specifically surrounding a hot tub, we required the decking to be slip-proof as there is likely to be water around. We researched a number of decking companies but chose Gripsure because the company instantly understood our ethos and plans.

Gripsure Aquadeck™ is a timber board that allows rainwater to permeate through to the water course below. Water is absorbed by the decking’s rubber infill and passes through the board back in to the ground.

And with a number of colour choices from teal to rainbow green and violet, available, the decking is versatile and vibrant.

Warrick said: “The decking is practical in that it is slip-proof. It is a subtle colour and blends well with the overall design of the new outdoor hot tub.

He added that Gripsure, whose customers include Berkeley Homes, Jamie Oliver and London’s Canary Wharf, offered a professional and reliable service throughout.

Gripsure gave excellent advice, a personal service and delivery was prompt,” said Warrick.

Gripsure Aquadeck™, which is SuDS (sustainable drainage systems) compliant, is the sixth product created by Gripsure, the UK’s leading supplier of non-slip decking boards.

Gripsure Managing Director Mike Nicholson said: “We are pleased to have been able to offer Titanic Spa non-slip timber decking that is not only safe for its guests but is also attractive to look at. One of the benefits of this decking is that we can produce it in any colour. This means we were able to provide a design that blends perfectly with Titanic Spa’s colour scheme.

Aquadeck™ fits well with the Spa’s ethos of offering the very best care and using the highest quality products and facilities.
