Meet the team
After finishing my GCSE's in September 2016, I joined Gripsure as an apprentice. I have recently completed studying "Performing manufacturing operations level 2" at Cornwall College whilst being trained in the manufacturing process of non-slip decking at Gripsure. I'm now looking forward to progressing within the company.
My employment at Gripsure started in February 2017 when I joined as a Production Operative. Since then I have been given the responsibility of making sure our finished boards have been coated with aggregate to a good standard, and that the curing racks have been loaded with boards safely and efficiently.
James, General Manager
I joined the team in August 2013 and I’m usually the one who will answer your call. I am primarily responsible for day to day sales and quotes. My role involves drawing up customer quotes and dealing with any questions or orders that result from this, as well as dealing with our logistics. I also deal with most of our sales analysis and reporting.
Jed, International Sales and Operations Manager
Having worked at Gripsure for 5 years, previously I was managing the day to day running of production. I moved into sales as a rep for the south of the UK, looking after our extensive merchant network and delivering CPDs to architects throughout the south.
My current role is Sales & Operations Manager where I will be fronting up the International sales as well as providing support for our UK customers.
Jo, Office Manager
I have been working at Gripsure since the business started in June 2010. My role as Office Manager varies from invoicing customers & ordering in goods to book keeping & financial reporting to Mike.
I joined Gripsure in January 2013 since then my role in the production team has evolved. My main responsibilities are filling in the production record sheets and testing the quality of the resin that we use, as well as cutting and trimming boards. I also assist Kevin in the yard with moving packs, putting orders together and loading lorries when required.
Kevin, Yard Supervisor
I started at Gripsure in February 2017 to assist in production, and in stock control and order despatch. I now have responsibility for maintaining the organisation of the goods storage areas, receiving and dispatching goods, and labelling all of our products to ensure compliance with our FSC chain of custody. I also assist with putting together the weekly production plan.
Mike, Managing Director
I founded Gripsure in 2010, having spent the previous 20 years working in non slip resin coatings for highway applications. As MD, my vision is to have an approachable, friendly and helpful team, who share the vision of outstanding customer service. I believe the growth of the company is down to a great responsive service and 'keeping our promises'.
Ross, Production Director
I am mainly responsible for planning production to meet customer requirements and ensure productivity levels are maintained, and to manage the companies Health and Safety policy. My role also includes managing our FSC certification and procedures, and research and development of products and processes including the newly launched Gripsure Aquadeck®. I have been with Gripsure since its establishment in June 2010.
Tom, Head of UK Sales
I joined Gripsure in August 2018 at an exciting time for the business. Having spent five years at a major timber supplier, I have a wealth of knowledge, especially around decking products.
My role is to assist clients, architects and contractors with specifications, delivering CPD presentations as well as discussing considerations to ensure the right product is chosen based on the particular projects requirements.
Phil, Business Development Manager
I joined Gripsure in January 2020 as Business Development Manager. My role is to generate new business through prospecting and the management of existing merchant accounts. I look to establish main points of contact & build a relationship with the aim of increasing sales into branches. I also handle incoming calls, enquiries, quotations and use our CRM to manage Gripsure's sales pipeline.
Gemma, Marketing Executive
I joined Gripsure in March 2020 as Marketing Executive, with a background in tourism and events, and am thrilled to be taking on a new challenge! My role sees me keeping on top of our online presence, managing our marketing communications and working closely with the rest of the team to ensure they receive the support they need.
