Grampound Community Store
Commercial Project
Working with one of our approved sub-contractors, the Gripsure Landscaping team replaced a worn, slippery deck at a small village community shop with our trusted Gripsure Classic non-slip timber decking. The project also included a new disabled access ramp, oiled timber handrails, and a smart canopy area featuring oak posts and a polycarbonate roof. This created a safer, more welcoming space for all visitors.
Mullion
Domestic Project
This domestic project on the Lizard in Cornwall is a great example of the skill and versatility of our Gripsure Landscaping team. When Charlie, our Head of Landscaping, was unexpectedly unavailable, the team stepped up to deliver a beautifully precise installation for a second-home owner.
The existing rotted deck was removed and replaced with our durable Gripsure Classic non-slip timber boards, finished with a balustrade handrail and a picket gate. Working closely with the homeowner, the team completed the project within a set maintenance window, on time and on budget.
St Austell
Domestic Project
The existing decking at this property had become extremely damaged and structurally unsafe to use. The Gripsure Landscaping team came in, took down and safely removed the entire structure before installing our Gripsure Classic non-slip timber deck board, complete with a trellis balustrade, internal steps and gate, as well as storage access to the sub-frame area.
The team worked efficiently and thoroughly to ensure the deck was finished and complete in-time for the homeowner’s grandchildren to use safely during the Easter holidays of 2025
Penzance
Domestic Project
The original decking had become dangerously slippery, posing a risk to the elderly homeowner and visiting tradespeople. Our team carefully dismantled and removed the entire structure and sub-frame, before installing our Gripsure Classic non-slip timber decking in a like-for-like replacement that greatly improved safety and usability.
Despite restricted site access and the challenge of manoeuvring heavy potted plants, the team expertly built a bespoke, three-tiered deck that followed the tight angles and irregular layout of the property. The new sub-frame was securely anchored to the existing concrete base, with stepped access added throughout and a discreet aco-drainage system installed at one end to ensure effective water run-off.
St Erth Parish Council
Commercial Project
Working on behalf of St Erth Parish council, we were contracted to install a set of ‘safe access steps’ to link 2 parts of a nature trail running near the beautiful River Hayle.
With no removal required, our team cracked on in installing our Gripsure Classic non-slip timber deck boards in a boardwalk style step that lifted up and over an existing flood mitigation bank.
We kept the existing pathways open for dog walkers and the public to continue to enjoy, whilst firmly securing the stepped access in concrete and fitted handrails for added safety.
The end result means there is now a continuous access route around the whole nature reserve that can be safely enjoyed.
Nanstallon
Domestic Project
Our team removed a very flimsy and damaged panel fencing structure that had become unstable after recent high winds and not acting as a successful dog-proofing structure. After disposing of the old structure sustainably, we replaced it with a hit-and-miss style fencing that ran along the outside of the property boundary.
Working over a series of weekends in January 2025 to get the project finished in-time for warmer spring weather, the team worked safely in close proximity to a public highway securing posts in concrete and managing the undulating terrain and turns of the proposed fence line. The changes in height and direction posed no problem to our skilled team, as we negotiated existing trees and plants to get the job done with minimal damage.
The homeowner then added their own touch with a spray paint and added trellis between the posts.
Boswinger
Domestic Project
This ongoing, long-term project showcases the expertise of our Gripsure Landscaping team and our trusted approved subcontractor, who’ve returned over several years to support the client’s evolving outdoor vision.
A keen admirer of our sustainable bamboo range, the client opted for a cohesive design using several of our bamboo products. We’ve clad the existing summer house, installed our 175mm wide non-slip bamboo decking boards, added additional bamboo cladding to conceal the sub-frame, and built elegant bamboo slat fencing to define the lower garden boundary.
Our bamboo range is not only exceptionally durable and eco-friendly, it also adds a refined, contemporary touch to any outdoor space. All components were installed using hidden fixings for a clean, seamless finish. The boards are already beginning to weather beautifully, developing a natural silvery patina over time.
