At Flake’s Folly, the brief wasn’t simply to install a new deck, it was to create an outdoor space that was safe, accessible and enjoyable for every member of the family. For the homeowner, who is registered disabled and uses a walking stick, alongside their beloved three-legged dog, Flake, conventional timber decking presented too great a slip risk, particularly during wet weather. The Challenge
