Meet the Team

Upon completion of my GCSE’s, I joined the team as an apprentice in September 2016 after relocating from Bristol to Cornwall with my family. I enjoyed many childhood summer holidays in Cornwall.

Since the move I have enjoyed learning to sea fish and spending the summer at the beach. During my free time, I enjoy watching most sports and socialising with friends and family.

After completing my apprenticeship, I then developed my skills by achieving a Level 2 Award in leadership and team skills. As a production operative, I support the team in producing non slip timber, ensuring quality control, help to manage the week plan and I am also trained in maintaining/fixing the pump when needed.

I hope to continue to progress within a great team and support the company’s growth.

I joined Gripsure at the beginning of 2022 to help develop the German-speaking markets for Gripsure products in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

My main background is in driving business growth, scaling businesses and developing new markets and regions for businesses across a number of different industries.

Gripsure is a fantastic business with a great ethos and I am delighted to have the opportunity to ensure Gripsure can mirror its successes in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

To this end my main focus is on building strong relationships with architects and landscaping contractors as well as timber merchants across the region and to support Gripsure exploring new opportunities in those markets.

Outside of Gripsure I very much enjoy the great outdoors, so you will find me hiking in the Alps, along the coast, across the Moors or swimming in the sea pretty much around the year.

I have been with Gripsure since the beginning as Office Manager. My role reaches across the whole business and covers all aspects of finance and bookkeeping, including invoicing, credit control, payments, expenses and monthly reporting. I am also involved in the HR and payroll functions.

Outside of work I enjoy walking the Cornish coast path, running and yoga.

I joined the team in February 2017 as yard supervisor after relocating to Cornwall from Bristol. I enjoyed many years of touring caravan holidays in Cornwall with my family and decided to make the move to the Duchy in 2016.

As yard supervisor, I oversee the goods incoming and outgoing as well as maintaining the tidiness of the compounds and dryer. I also ensure that the FSC and PEFC standards are met. I am part of a close knit production team and will offer support when needed. My daily tasks can include: cutting orders, routing boards, loading/unloading deliveries and ensuring all outward deliveries are meeting Gripsure’s high quality standards. As you may have noticed from the surnames, I am also fortunate enough to work alongside my son Aaron!

I enjoy a demanding yet rewarding role in an independent Cornish company.

I joined the team in January 2021 after moving to Cornwall to complete my degree. I’m excited to be taking on a new role in a thriving company with responsibilities including (but not limited to!) order processing, stock management, sample organising and quality standard management.

Outside of work I love exploring Cornwall on coast and countryside walks, keeping fit with Zumba and Body Conditioning and enjoying games nights with friends.

I joined Gripsure in 2019 to develop the European market and set up Gripsure SAS in France, which I now manage. We have a customer-focused mindset and each member of the team contributes to improving our processes.

My role is to cultivate this flexibility which defines us and will enable us to grow our brand in Europe. I particularly appreciate the customer discussions which allow me to discover new cultures and needs.

I founded Gripsure in 2010, having spent the previous 20 years working in non-slip resin coatings for highway applications. As MD, my vision is to have an approachable, friendly and helpful team, who share the vision of outstanding customer service. I believe the growth of the company is down to a great responsive service and keeping our promises.

Outside of work, my interests are walking the Cornish coastline with my wife and dogs, keeping fit with running, and then putting the pounds back on again by wine tasting!

I joined Gripsure in January 2020 as Business Development Manager. My role is to generate new business through prospecting and the management of existing merchant accounts. I look to establish main points of contact & build a relationship with the aim of increasing sales into branches. I also handle incoming calls, enquiries, quotations and use our CRM to manage Gripsure’s sales pipeline.

Outside of Gripsure my main interests are sport related; Chairman/Treasurer of my local cricket club, supporting Everton FC & maintaining my fitness & sanity at Revolution Training. Travel is another passion with Australia & New Zealand the go-to destinations of late. I’ve jumped out of a plane twice for charity, ran a 1/2 marathon & provided a stem cell donation back in 2010.

I have been with Gripsure from day 1 and have played a key role in developing the Gripsure product range and production techniques. As the company has grown and developed so have my roles and responsibilities which include managing our health and safety policies and practices, developing new products, and continually improving our production methods and quality controls.

I am a very hands on practical person and enjoy rolling my sleeves up and getting stuck in whether it be in our Gripsure workshop or at home tinkering with my bikes and or working on my campervan.
