Bamboo X-treme® Closed Cladding (155mm Profile) are solid, dense boards made from bamboo strips that have been compressed and thermally modified at 200°C. This unique Thermo-Density® process ensures Bamboo X-treme® meets the highest durability class possible in the appropriate EU standards, whilst increasing the stability and density, and consequently the hardness of the end product.
Bamboo X-treme® Closed Cladding reaches fire safety Class B-s1-d0 (EN 13501-1) and Class A (ASTM E84) without using expensive and environmentally-damaging fire retardants. The cladding board is screwed to the substructure and the next board covers the screw, giving a ‘closed’ finish, resulting in a beautiful bamboo façade.
Bamboo X-treme® Closed Cladding does not require any annual maintenance. Over time, the board will gradually weather and turn a light grey, giving the façade a natural and elegant look.
